The Pine River Community Learning Center (PRCLC) is a nonprofit educational organization, serving adults and families in eastern La Plata County for more than 30 years. Dedicated to the principle that life is learning, to the unparalleled wealth of cultures in the rural Southwest and the unique gifts of its people, PRCLC focuses education to the strengths and spirit of its students.
We envision a community that values lifelong learning, where diversity exchanges freely and neighborliness thrives, where teachers and learners honor each other’s knowledge in a respectful and fluid environment, where success is prolific.

PRCLC's annual Chili Cookoff and Salsa Slam runs October 24th. Funds raised support family and adult literacy in Ignacio and Bayfield. Includes games, apple bobbing, pumpkin carving, giveaways. 
Providing advanced training in professionalism, finance management, and computer technology in order to re-tool workers for new and better opportunities in this harsh economy.
