Conference for Rural Adult Learning & Literacy

Coming March 2012, Ignacio, Colorado

In the rural Southwest, to say a person has "Learning" cuts a broad swath of meanings: from water calculations to horse training, from tractor mechanics to mortgage juggling, from Internet savvy to... well, book-learning and college degrees. What does the future hold for working families here? How do we maintain quality of life while building self and community sufficiency, so far from the metro pundits? As public and nonprofit professionals gather in this annual collaboration we examine the potentials for transforming and protecting rural lives through learning and workplace education.
