CareerReady Colorado Certificate
In partnership with Colorado Workforce Centers, CareerReady is a certificate program that prepares adults for industry-specific careers by enhancing their skills in information processing and mathematics. As learners improve their levels of accomplishment, awards signed by Colorado’s Governor are given by the Durango Workforce Office, leading directly to job-placement at available sites. Open to high-school graduates or students already working toward their GED. Check out CDOLE's information.
ACCUPLACER Prep
The ACCUPLACER is a computerized test now administered by nearly all colleges in the U.S. to determine their enrollees’ “readiness” for higher education. Currently, the majority of entering students fall below the college benchmarks for reading and math, requiring “extra” expensive classes to bring them up to speed, and delaying their college-level work. By developing ACCUPLACER skills in advance of their college enrollment, adults may avert this calamity of remediation and better endure the challenges they’ll encounter. All PRCLC sites now offer workbook and practice materials to enhance ACCUPLACER readiness.
